The Library Collection

With over 317,000 items in the collection and more than 1.4 million items checked out annually, the Waukesha Public Library is one of the most heavily used libraries in the state.

The Library offers a wide range of print and non-print materials for all ages and reading levels.

Customers may choose from over

  • 265,000 print books
  • 12,000 electronic books
  • 6,000 audiobooks (CDs, MP3 CDs, Playaways)
  • 15,000 DVDs
  • 11,000 music CDs, and
  • 425 periodical subscriptions.
The Library also features collections in Spanish for both adults and children including books, DVD's and audio books, and a Local History and Genealogy Collection.
