Public Art Collection

Feathered Fascination
Marcia Schneider

Feathered Fascination

The Library purchased this unique collection which depicts different birds from Wisconsin around the main subject, the Great Blue Heron. Each bird appears to be curiously fascinated by the heron. Feathered Fascination is located on the back wall of the elevator near the first floor music collection. Acquired in 2012.

About the Artist

Marcia Schneider of Waukesha has been living the life of an artist since she can remember. Although she has been painting and sculpting in many different mediums throughout her life, Marcia’s current focus is working with watercolor and rice paper in the batik method.
