Adult Literacy Materials
Our "New Reader" section is designed for adult learners who want easy-to-read materials. These include workbooks for grammar, reading comprehension, math, and life skills, plus novels and stories adapted for easy reading. Items are color-coded for reading level. We also offer a selection of cassettes with convenient follow-along texts
The "New Reader" section is located near the Large Print collection on the first floor.
NetLibrary
The library’s NetLibrary collection consists of over 6,000 eBooks (electronic books) that you can "check out" and read on a PC. Once you set up your account—which must be done on one of the library’s Reference Center workstations—you may access your account and view eBooks either on your home computer or at the library. (Note: Items may be briefly previewed without creating an account.)
NetLibrary is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Titles include a variety of topics—computers, self-help, law, investing, parenting, medicine, religion, and classic literature (including Cliffs notes), to name a few. eBooks are automatically returned at the end of your checkout period. Click here to explore NetLibrary.
NetLibrary is made available in coordination with the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium.
